(Lima, SoloAzar Exclusive).- Rubén Solórzano and Joe López, organizers of PGS, made a first evaluation of the show, commented the highlights and showed their satisfaction with the result of the edition, held this week at Jockey Exhibition Center.

´PGS and Peru as a country have become a center for the gaming industry´: Rubén Solórzano and Joe López, AMG

Rubén Solórzano, Director and General Manager of AMG: I am very happy. The first day was extraordinary, with a large audience. All the comments we have received within the exhibition are also very positive. The second day was surprising for us, because Eduardo Sevilla, gaming regulator in Peru, had not communicated that the Minister was possibly coming. At 8:30 am we were told that he arrived at 10:30 and we had to run to receive him. That marked the beginning of the event and then we took him on a tour of the fairgrounds and he was very satisfied, he liked it very much. The other surprise is that he came to the conference room, gave a message and the truth is that it was very pleasant for the entire audience. He was the first minister to visit PGS,” he said.

“The cocktail, which is the welcome party, was also very good. This time we did something different. There was a DJ from 8 to 10 and from 10 to 12 an orchestra, Los titanes de Colombia, a well-known group that made everyone dance,” he added.

For his part, Joe López, CGO of AMG, added: “Excellent show, it has exceeded my expectations. The number of visitors we had was impressive. We always want to do something more, something better, from a very professional point of view, and I think that differentiates us from other events. I am very satisfied, very happy”.

Highlights of the show

Solórzano commented: "I think that the most important thing was the presence of the Director of MINCETUR Eduardo Sevilla and the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Tourism, Roberto Sánchez, who gave everyone the confidence that we are on the right track."

“On the other hand, I think that the topics selected for the conferences were also decisive. I prefer the last two round tables. The first on regulation, with an extraordinary panel of three former regulators and Karen Sierra as leader of GLI for Latam, extraordinary moderator. The last conference reviewed the law on online gaming and sports betting, with a connoisseur like Carlos Fonseca, and the other speakers as well. That also marked the good performance of the event”.

“This year there has been a more focus on sports betting and online games, but that also has a cause, that in Peru the bill is being discussed, and we believe that it was time to address the issue in a much more complete way. . Now, in past editions, the face-to-face game has always been at the conferences, so this year it has been different, but surely in the future we will make that mix again in the following editions," he said.

Regarding the differential that the fair offers to new companies, Joe López highlighted: “I would tell you that PGS gives you the opportunity to reach a tremendous market of potential clients under one roof without having to visit 750 stores. Here you have them all. I think that an excellent job is to get the public to come to the show. We have people from all provinces, and manufacturers or operators can access them from here”.

I fully agree,” said Solórzano, “but I would add the following: PGS and Peru as a country have already become a center of the gaming industry, so whoever wants to come and expose PGS knows that people from the gaming sector from different parts of the world comes here, not only is it already a showcase, but it is going to fraternize with people from all over the world. Peru is a very interesting market with a lot of potential. It also concentrates on nearby markets, such as Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay, and obviously Mexico, Costa Rica and Panama, which are places where the industry is also developing”, he concluded.
